harnesses on when going for walks, we tried them on
pretty leads and pretty collars. All of a sudden Penny's
walks were getting longer and Piper was becoming
more settled and relaxed.

It’s taken a few years of work, but now when they hear
the laundry cupboard opening, they run down the
hallway because they know it’s walk time. A pocket full
of treats will entice any dog. We walk for kilometres
now, with no complaints. It’s so pleasing to see this
positive change. The hardest thing now is when we
have to leave them when we go to work. We miss
them so much, but come home time we cant wait to
see their smiling faces and hear their excited chatter.

We went on an overseas trip last year and we left both    So it’s with big thanks to Monika’s DoggieRescue for
the dogs securely cared for. It broke our hearts leaving  rescuing these little animals and thanks for thinking we
them for 3 weeks. We knew we'd miss them, but didn't      would be good parents to them. Hard to believe on the
realise how much. It was like leaving your kids at        22nd March this year we have had them 2 years. Time’s
home. They are our kids. It was so good to get back to    gone so quickly. 2 years for us, 14 in dog years. We love
see them again. At first they didn’t recognise us but     them both so much. Ian, Olivia, Penny and Piper Adams.
after a while they settled down when they realised who
we were. We can’t imagine life without them now and
wonder how we ever managed. They still aren't keen
on the vacuum, but eventually I'll teach them to use it.
