MEET DOGGIE RESCUE’S YOUNG DoggieRescue is incredibly grateful for the support and dedication
of our many young volunteers who make a real difference at Doggie
Rescue in a variety of ways. Below are some of their stories...

                                     Will Gorman chose to support
                                     Monika’s DoggieRescue as he
thought it was terrible for a dog to
not have a home and so he wanted
to try and help. Last year Will took
part in the Spring Cycle and raised
                                     $3,700 for DoggieRescue. Will also
built a beautiful dog kennel that was
auctioned at the Woofmas in July
trivia night, raising $145 for the DR
doggies. Will was to do the cycle
again in October but an accident in
training resulted in a fractured wrist.
                                     Despite not competing Will still
                                     raised nearly $3,000. Amazing:)

Jackson Perri volunteers at
DoggieRescue and loves to help
train and give affection to all the
dogs. Jackson is often seen
teaching the dogs to sit, shake
hands & high five and a little
training helps a dog find a home
so Jackson’s job is a vital one -
besides, all the dogs love him.
Jackson says “It’s great to have a
dog as your best friend and if you
adopt a dog, I tell you, you better
be good to them because no
matter what they’re always going
to be there for you!”

Juliette Byak recently raised Sofia Tuitahi recently dedicated her
$1,170 through selling chocolates birthday to DoggieRescue and raised
and also a home fundraising event. over $1,200! We asked Sofia why she
Juliette says “Monika’s Doggie likes to support DoggieRescue – Sofia
Rescue is absolutely amazing with said “ I just like doing it. It is so nice to
what they do, the difference they spend time with the dogs. They’re all
make and the effort they put in. I am really different but so much fun. I think
so happy to now be involved with it’s important too. They need to find
DoggieRescue and encourage families and need to be used to kids.
everyone to do the same” Juliette If I can help them to get use to walking
supports DoggieRescue as she with kids, being patted and having
loves that DoggieRescue has a ‘no- cuddles, it might help them find their
kill policy’ and she knows that the forever family”.
money will go to all the right places.
