English proficiency test designed under the UPSI-MIMOS asessment series collaborations project.
CaELT serves as a placement test which does not only gauge the level of proficiency but also
provide useful information for course designers to develop courses that match students’ level of
proficiency. CaELT serves as an aptitude test that enables stakeholders to have further insight into
students’ future English ability. CaELT measures aspects of reading, grammar, listening, writing and
speaking. CaELT is a product of an extensive three year research between UPSI experts and
MIMOS researchers.
