New and innovative method to extract collagen and R & D Product 2
hydroxyapatite (HAp) from fish scales without the use of
expensive chemicals or enzymes. This new method able to
produce 40 to 60% of collagen and HAp from the same fish
scales. The collagen and HAp produced is HALAL for not using
any suspicious or haram materials and have properties
comparable to commercial imported products. Collagen and
HAp materials produced are expected to meet local and
international demand. Materials produced can be used in
cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, bio-medicine and tissue
engineering.
