With this information, the group had started to pick up the pace and alas, they
had reached the main room. The narrow cave had opened up into a
clearance. The main room was in the shape of an irregular circle, moss grew
on the side of the stone walls. In the middle situated a pattern in the shape of
a pentagram. The exit gates were located at the opposite site, however, to
access it one must defeat the dungeon boss.
“Team leader, where is the dungeon boss?”, a member asked.
“Speak of the devil, looks like we found him.”
In front of them, a monster had started to materialise out of thin air. Starting
from the bottom, the hind legs had started to form and eventually the monster
was fully formed. It was a dragon. Orange in colour, its menacing claws had
razor sharp nails. The giant scales scattered on its body were a sinister red,
its face staring directly into the souls of each and every one of them.
“Everyone, scatter!”
All the members ran in different directions, everyone ready for the inevitable
battle. However, it wasn’t a battle, it was a massacre. The dragon glared at the
direction of two members, took a deep breath, and sent a giant flame in their
direction. The two members were powerless, they were burnt to a crisp.
Florian stood there, in absolute shock. The dragon was already launching his
next attack. It began to spin itself and its large tail followed. Florian was in the
path of the tail, still frozen. As the tail was about to strike him, James leapt into
the frozen Florian and shoved him into a small pocket in the wall. James was
struck into the wall.
“JAMES”, Florian cried.
James was flattened into the wall. An unstoppable flood of tears flowed down
Florian’s cheeks. Florian cried in terror as he watched all his teamates one by
one get slain by the dragon. Some were burnt to a crisp, others were flattened
