Has a star named after Her

Madhuri Dixit is the indisputable evergreen star of Bollywood.
However, did you know that this beauty has a star named after
her? Apparently, Madhuri has a celestial body named after her
in the Orion constellation. The actress, in an interview, revealed
that a group of her fans made an effort to get a celestial body
named after her.
They apparently approached the Star Foundation Network, a
charitable organisation that provides people with an opportunity
to buy a star in the sky and gift it to anyone they want. Madhuri’s
fans gifted this particular star to her. Interesting much?
The certificate from the Star Foundation reads: “A celestial body
in the sky above has been named in honour of Madhuri Dixit-
Nene and is officially located in the constellation Orion.

‘munna bHai m.b.b.s’?
Rajkumar Hirani made his mark in Bollywood with his film,
‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’ starring Sanjay Dutt in the lead role. The
filmmaker also took his level of direction to another level with ‘3
Idiots’ starring Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan’.
While both of this film was super hit and is still loved by the
audience, there is something that not many people are aware of
the two films.
Did you know that the climax of ‘3 Idiots’ was actually a scene
originally written for ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’? Reportedly, even

before the director wrote ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’, he was writing a
story about three medical students. On a drunken night, they see
a young woman in pain and they perform her child delivery. But in
the later drafts, the protagonist switched from medical student to
Munna Bhai and the scene wasn’t used.
However, during the scripting of ‘3 Idiots’, the makers used this
scene where the three medical students were substituted with
three engineering students, which formed the climax of the film.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historic treat ‘Bajirao Mastani’
gave us many chartbuster songs to remember. Right from
Ranveer Singh’s power-packed ‘Malhar’ to Deepika Padukone
love ballad ‘Mastani’. However, one song that had both its leading
female pair shake their leg was the song ‘Pinga’.
Did you know that the song ‘Pinga’ was actually borrowed from
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s real-life cook? The hand movements
in the song were taken from his house help whom the director
loving calls ‘Maasi’.
Pinga, traditionally is a ceremonial activity that is performed
by Maharashtrian (typically Brahmin) married women on the
occasion of Mangalagaur.
