Prayer Topic #13:
A Prayer for the West Orem YMCA
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 103:1-5, I Corinthians 6:19-20
Reflections of the Heart:
The West Orem YMCA is a blessing to our church and to our community. Let’s remember to stop by and take
advantage of the life-enhancing programs they offer and keep them encouraged and lifted in prayer for the
great work that they do.
Scriptural Prayer:
Beloved Father, You have done great things through our Windsor Village Church Family; one of which is the
establishment of the West Orem YMCA. Thank You for the Board of Directors and staff of the West Orem
YMCA and for the diligent work they do to bring health and wellness to their members. Thank You, Lord, for
the opportunity that the West Orem YMCA brings to a community that has been traditionally underserved and
underdeveloped. We adore You, Father! Let the whole world bless You and loudly sing Your praises. Our
lives are in Your hands and You keep our feet from stumbling. As we continue to watch the unfolding of Your
magnificent vision for the southwest Houston community, we are amazed and will forever give You glory and
honor.
Everlasting Father, we decree that Your presence will rest in and throughout the West Orem YMCA campus,
so much so that everyone who sets foot on the grounds will experience the power of Your glory. We believe
that the staff can do everything through Christ who gives them strength. They are fully competent and capable
in fitness, wellness, awareness, business, and social interaction. We confess that they take joy in their work
and that they will be patient, kind, and compassionate to every patron who enters the doors of the West Orem
YMCA. They work in harmony with one another by honoring and respecting one another in their various roles
and responsibilities. We declare that the patrons who attend the West Orem YMCA will be respectful and kind
to one another and the staff. They will submit to the staff’s authority and will enthusiastically do their part in
taking care of the physical environment of the facility. We decree that enrollment at the West Orem YMCA will
increase this year and that their reputation as a committed community partner will expand.
If you have not visited the West Orem YMCA, go by and take advantage of one of the many programs
they offer, and take time to encourage the staff:

Holy Spirit, help the West Orem YMCA staff to meet the needs of their patrons in even more effective and
creative ways. Bless the families that benefit from the afterschool and summer programs. Increase awareness
in the community of the benefits of membership in the West Orem YMCA. Please keep the staff and patrons
safe, and let Your angels stand guard against crime on the property. As Your vision for the community
expands, keep the West Orem YMCA expanding with it. Continue to provide for the West Orem YMCA so that
their facility has the best equipment, classes, instructors, and programs to offer its patrons.
Righteous Father, please forgive the West Orem YMCA staff and patrons of their sins. Forgive those on the
West Orem YMCA staff who may not believe in the biblical beliefs of the YMCA organization. Forgive any
patrons who have disrespected any West Orem YMCA staff member in any way. Forgive those who may
have caused any confusion or conflict among patrons or staff members by their words or actions. Lord, forgive
me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the West Orem YMCA staff and patrons
of all those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my
remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces
of people that You may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now,
trust the Lord to heal any wounds in Your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
