Judge Peter Herbert O. B.E is a leading UK
human rights barrister, a former lead Counsel at
the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda,
the former Vice Chair of the Metropolitan
Police Authority in London who holds three
Judicial posts as a part-time Immigration Judge,
Employment Judge and who also sits as a
Recorder in the Crown Court.
Peter is a Pan Africanist who Chairs the Society
of Black Lawyers in the UK as well as the
Pan African Lawyers Association’s Diaspora
Committee. He has led several international
refugee missions to Sicily, Calais and the
Lebanon and been awarded the “Spirit of
Excellence” award for human rights by the
American Bar Association. His OBE was
awarded by the Queen for his services to
diversity, equality & human rights.

David Weaver is a senior partner of DWC, a leadership
and strategic change firm that works with individuals,
organisations and communities to help them achieve
their full potential. His clients include large and small
organisations, teams and individuals across the
private, public and not for profit sectors in the UK and
internationally. His work has focused on designing, co-
creating and delivering interventions that build higher
levels of organisational / personal performance to achieve
outstanding results. A former social worker, university
lecturer and local authority senior manager, David’s
current work as a ‘Leadership specialist’ is aligned with
his passion for working with organisations and individuals
to improve their lives and achieve their full potential.
He offers significant expertise as a life / career coach,
conflict management facilitator, mentor, public speaker
and a strong track record in the area of ‘top team’ and
senior management development. Much of his current
work involves working with leadership teams within public
service bodies including local authorities, the NHS and
voluntary sector bodies. He has also worked with large
companies such as Shell UK, Morgan Stanley, Jaguar and
Singapore Airlines.
David is one of a small number of consultants facilitating
the Leadership Academy for leading elected councillors
in England and Wales - commissioned by the Local David
Government Association (LGA). He is a former political Weaver
advisor working with the then Deputy Home Secretary
on the Home Affairs portfolio (1996 to 1999). During this
period, he represented the government on a European
body (European Monitoring Centre on Racism and
Xenophobia). David is also a co-founder of high-profile
campaigning body, Operation Black Vote (OBV).
In December 2016, David was appointed as President of
the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
(BACP) having previously served as a Governor / Trustee
(2012 to 2016) and Vice President (from 2004 to 2009).
David holds an MSc in Human Resources Development
and qualifications relating to coaching, mediation and
psychological profiling.
