WPRAYER OF CONFESSION
O God, You come to us as a loving parent who seeks to provide us,
Your children, with every benefit and blessing of grace.
Yet, as Your children, we confess that we misbehave.
We are disobedient to Your commandments.
We turn our back on Your voice.
We “smart-mouth” You with claims of self-sufficiency.
Forgive us, O God.
Forgive us our immature ways.
Help us to grow up and become more
faithful, loving, generous Christians.
Yet, help us to remain child-like in faith –
joyful in Your free gift of salvation,
gleeful in Your gracious care…
(Silent confession…)
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. AMEN.
