Q1 WHEN DID YOU STARTED DEVELOPING INTEREST IN

MUSIC?

When I was a kid I used to go with my father to temple

and hear bhajans. I grew up listening to my sister, Kavya

Narayanan, and used to sing together. That’s how my

interest in music started developing.

Q2 WHAT MADE YOU FEEL THAT YOU SHOULD SING IN

FRONT OF THE AUDIENCE?

My parents and my sister encouraged me to sing. That’s

how my journey towards music started. I started

participating in music competitions. I sing not for fame

but because of my passion.

Q3 HAVE YOU BEEN UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF ANY

PROFESSIONAL TEACHER?

Yes. I have been learning classical music for 5 years

under the guidance of Sir N.P. Ramaswami. He is very

friendly and my classes are very interesting. I want to

pursue my career in classical music.

Q4 WHAT IS MUSIC FOR YOU?

It allows me to be creative and innovative. It calms me

and I feel relaxed.

listen and feel the music.
