“In 2016, the School District of Philadelphia’s Charter Schools Office released its inaugural
Annual Charter Evaluations for Philadelphia charter schools. At each stage of the process,
our office looked to the great work and output of The Governor John Engler Center for
Charter Schools for inspiration and guidance, particularly as an authorizer focused on
transparency and serving the public interest. The fantastic work the Center is doing is
having tremendous ripple effects across the country.”
