The Perfect Pitch
Certified minority businesses of the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Business Council were
invited to participate in the preliminary round of the ACCESS 2020 Pitch Challenge.
They were encourage to submit a video answering at least one of six scenarios. The
videos were posted to the Council’s social media platforms and participants were
encouraged to enlist their social media following to like their submission.

The 12 chosen finalists from the Pitch Challenge will present LIVE to a panel of judges
during ACCESS 2020 Virtual Business Expo on August 5th. Three winners will be
chosen with the Grand Prize winner receiving $5000.00 cash, Showcase at ACCESS
2021, a complimentary ticket to all Council Events in 2021, One-on-One MBDA CARES
Coaching, Press Release and Video on the Council's website and social media
platforms.

CPO Summit
The supply chain has changed drastically over the past few months. We enlisted
several local Chief Procurement Officers to talk about what keeps you up at night post-
pandemic and how the purchasing is changing during the pandemic and protests. The
panel examines how they emergency purchasing is changing the supply chain (surge
demand, onshoring, etc.), forecasting needs and the increased visibility of the supply
chain in financial and overall company performance.
