Celebrating Mega Awards

The Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council is spotlighting 10 MEGA
Awards in 2020. These awards represent transactions worth more than $25 million
annually between our Buying Entity Partners and a certified MBE. The Council has not
wavered in its advocacy to encourage enlistment of minority businesses in significant
segments of the supply chain. MEGA Awards help build minority business capacity,
facilitate opportunities to create sustainable growth and drive job training and creation.

Since 2008 DFW MSDC, has documented 129 MEGA Awards. This demonstrates the
power of MBEs to handle large contracts and BIG thinking by Buying Entities in utilizing
minority-owned businesses to fulfill their purchasing needs. The MBEs and Supply Chain
Professionals both agree that MBEs deliver excellent products/services, have strong
business operations and systems, continually examine ways to improve their offerings,
create innovative solutions and maintain financial risk-adverse management.

Congratulations to all the MEGA Awards connections! You set the standard for “building
capacity” and define what a successful, sustainable minority-owned business looks like.
