Meaningful Connections...Impactful Growth
Board of Directors Welcome to the
2020 Virtual E Awards Gala!
The year 2020 has been a unique year filled with
uncertainties and unpredictability. Yet, despite the
issues with navigating a new norm, it is refreshing to
know that the constituents of the Dallas/Fort Worth
Minority Supplier Development Council have
remained focused on our mission of connecting
certified minority-owned businesses with Buying
Entity Partners to create viable business
opportunities. Now more than ever, the importance of the utilization of
minority businesses is needed. Inclusion ensures we use the best of the
best to strengthen our economy, our communities and the long-term
success of our businesses.
I am honored to be the Chair of the DFW MSDC Board of Directors. I am
even more excited to work with the individual senior executives on this
board that continue to contribute their talents by providing innovative
thinking, expertise, governance and strategy to navigate during these
turbulent times.
Tonight, we celebrate the work of amazing individuals, companies and
public sector agencies in our Virtual Celebration of Excellence – E Awards
2020! The nominees and winners have contributed to furthering minority
business inclusion, sustainability and growth. Their work is to be
applauded.
Thank you to Margo J. Posey, President and CEO of the Council, and her
excellent, lean staff for charting a responsive course in 2020 to keep us all
engaged and connected. The staff and E Awards Planning Committee
have once again delivered an entertaining, over-the-top gala event –
virtually!
Thank you to each of you for stepping out of your comfort zone and joining
us throughout the year at events, webinars, training and contributing to the
well being of the Council. It is YOU who drive the success of the Council. It
is you who have graciously adapted to the virtual environment. It is you who
continue to provide resources and support, both financially and timewise,
to keep DFW MSDC one of the top Council's in the National Minority
Supplier Development Council network.
We are also pleased that the Council remains financially strong with
another clean audit. Despite the challenges of 2020, the Council enters
2021 on strong footing for the future.
Again, congratulations to the nominees, winners and all our attendees for
making this Gala a success.
We look forward to turning the page and focusing on 2021!
Sincerely,
Bonnie Clinton
