he building committee of First Igbo Seventh day Adventist Church
Tcongratulates the pastor, board and the entire members of this church
on this day our Lord and Savior has made. As a church, let us rejoice and
be glad in it, for His good work in our life. Permit me to remind ourselves
that within our first twelve years of existence, we worshipped in six different
locations with a permanent office provided free by a humble servant of God.
An act of generosity which contributed a lot to our life as a body with one
faith in our Lord and Savior. The good news is that Jesus Christ was always
there leading the way in the search for a place of worship even in times of
emergency. There was never any Sabbath day that we could not worship due
to lack of space until Almighty God led us to this promised place of worship
which we are celebrating today. God did not abandon the people of Israel on
their way from Egypt, in the same vein, he has never abandoned the people
of Eastern Nigeria in our quest to serve him in a foreign land. To God be the
         Glory.

t this juncture, I will like to express my sincere gratitude to the
Afollowing people for their absolute commitment to this process, Pastor
Okezie Erondu the church Pastor, Pastor Lloyd Scharffenberg, Secretary/
Treasurer of the Greater New York Corporation, former treasurer of First
Igbo SDA Church, Elder Iheanyi Matthew. Furthermore, I will not forget
Elder Emmanuel Alozie and Sister Nkechi Alozie, the Principal and Staff of
NYC Public school, PS 112 in the Bronx. These people provided this church
with a base which contributed a lot in pulling our resources together to
actualize today’s event. We pray that God Almighty will enrich them with
his blessing. I also congratulate my fellow members of this committee for a
job well done. It is so sweet to serve the Lord.

inally, as the chairman of this committee, I would like to thank my
Fbeloved wife, Sister Oluebere Nwokocha who has continuously
encouraged me to serve my Lord and Savior in any capacity. In the time of
difficulties and distress, she prays, encourages, and supports me. She always
reminds me of the blessing and goodness in serving our Lord. Thank you so
         much.

et us remain faithful and serve Him in truth and Spirit as he will not
         Lforsake his children.
