Addressing around 700 attendees at Country Inn and Suites by

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Radisson, Kota, the session was about decoding mantras for success in engineering.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Break In: Nitro RC Championship at UPES

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The Mechanical Department of School of Engineering, UPES, organised the inaugural Nitro RC
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Championship on the sports ground of Bidholi campus in Dehradun. The event featured a designing
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       and performance competition for 1/8 scale RC Nitro Cars. A dozen teams from different colleges of
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       India and UPES competed through multiple rounds.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The finale saw a simultaneous race between four teams for the course of three laps with an additional

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       penalty for exceeding the track boundaries and/or skipping the obstacles. At the close, between all the
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       finalists, the results boiled down to the difference of just two seconds between the first placed team—
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Team MRC-O, MRC Club, Mumbai and the first runner-up—Team Ryuu, UPES Dehradun.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Engineering 2020´
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The Chemical Engineering Department of School of Engineering, UPES, Dehradun, along with
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       R&D, UPES, organised an international conference on ‘Advances in Chemical Engineering 2020’.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       This conference was held to bring together renowned researchers, academicians and industry
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       representatives from all over the world under one roof to interact and discuss recent advances

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       in the field of Chemical Engineering. This not only enhanced research collaboration among
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       academicians but also enabled students to have better interaction with researchers and industry
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       representatives alike.
