➢The value of universal gravitational constant is 6.67 × 10 Nm /kg . What does it mean?
                                                                                                       -11
                                                                                                               2
                                                                                                                       2
                                                                                                           2
                                                                                                     2
    Ans: The value of universal gravitational constant is 6.67 × 10 -11 Nm /kg . It means that the force of attraction between two bodies
    each of unit mass kept at unit distance apart is 6.67 × 10 -11 N.

    ➢A satellite does not need energy to revolve around the earth. Why?( Why do the satellite not fall while revolving around the earth?)
    Ans: A satellite does not need energy to revolve around the earth because of the gravitational force between the earth and satellite is

    balanced by the outward centrifugal force created by the velocity and inward force created by the centripetal force due to the force

    of gravity.

    ➢When is the gravitational force(F) equal to the gravitational constant(G)?

    Ans: Gravitational force (F) is equal to gravitational constant (G) when the bodies of unit masses are kept at unit distance from each

    other.
    i.e..    =    = 1Kg and d = 1m

           Then, the gravitational force between them,

                                 ×                     ×

             F = G                           = G             = G                               F = G

    ❑Factors Affecting Gravitational force;

    i.     Product of the masses of bodies ( i.e.. F ∝    ×    )

    ii. Distance between the centers of the bodies. ( i.e.. F ∝ )
