After finishing the Art Academy in Budapest, Zsófi Barabás almost immediately
found her own style, her own way of expression. Resuming her work one might
say it’s the dairy of her life. Every day she sketches small black and white
drawings - impressions of that day. These impressions might reflect on her
travels, her social life, her moods, her doubts and her happiness. Some of
these drawings are later blown up to larger compositions - colourful paintings
- that capture a previous experience in a somewhat distant and rational way.
The work of Barabás is characterized by a very colourful composition in which
several painting techniques are used. The composition is largely organic but
is sometimes completed with geometric shapes. In the Torino works she
starts from the organic layout of the city, which she supplements in her own
individual way, as if she were looking for a way there herself.

巴拉巴什·若费在布达佩斯美术学院结束求学后, 巴拉巴什·若费几乎立即就找到了自己的创
作风格和表现方式。我们可以说, 她的作品就是一本生活日记。每天, 她都会画一些草图来记
录她对当天的印象, 而这很可能反映了她的旅行, 社交生活, 情绪, 疑虑和快乐心情。后来, 这
些草图被放大到较大尺寸, 并且变成了彩画, 通过一种理性方式来表达对往日经历的感受。巴
拉巴什在作品中采用了多种绘画技巧, 典型特征就是画面色彩异常丰富。她采用有机构图形
式, 但有时也会采用几何图形。在作品《都灵》中, 她首先从城市的有机布局开始, 并以自己
的独特方式进行补充, 就像她真的在寻找一条路一样。
