Munkácsy Prize winner painter, who is the outstanding master of the Hungarian
neoconstructivism. His early works belong to lyrical expressionism, where
Antoni Clavé’s influence can be discovered. It was 1994 when he found his
main motif, the box. He combines the geometric field experiments of his
predecessors with the subjective perspective of the „found objects”. Use of
color is initially extremely grim, with the tonal variants of blacks and browns,
often painting the natural shade of the tree and his worn-out.
