Complex Sentence (ประโยคใจความซอน) คือ ประโยค Simple Sentence มา
รวมกัน โดยใชค ําเชื่อมที่ไมใชกลุมคาํ ของ and, but, or, so เชน when, while, until, as soon as, ...

โดยปกตปิ ระกอบดวย ประโยค 2 ประโยค คอื
1. Main clause (Independent clause) คือ ประโยคท่ีอยูลําพัง โดยมีความหมาย
ครบถวนในตัวเองได
2. Subordinate clause (Dependent clause) คือ ประโยคทอี่ ยูลาํ พงั แลวความหมาย
จะไมครบถวน ปกติแลว Subordinate clause มักเปนประโยคที่อยูหลัง/กับคําเชื่อมตาง ๆ ทํา
หนาที่เหมือน adverb, adjective, noun ซึ่งเรียกวาประโยค adverb clause, adjective clause
หรอื noun clause

เชน She is very lazy. This is certain.
= It is certain that he is very lazy.
This is the postman. The postman brings us letter every day.
= This is the postman, who brings us letter every day.
