Last year, the flock of birds migrated to another area. Predict what happened to the number of caterpillars with explanation.
Bilangan ulat beluncas bertambah kerana ketiadaan pemangsanya.

The number of caterpillars increased due to the absence of their predator.

(d) Pemilik kebun tersebut memutuskan untuk memelihara burung sebagai agen kawalan biologi untuk
mengurangkan populasi ulat beluncas. Adakah keputusannya wajar? sp 2.3.3 KBAT Menilai
The owner of the farm decided to rear birds as the biological control agent in order to reduce the population of caterpillars. Is his
decision justified?
Keputusan ini adalah tidak wajar. Burung bukan sahaja akan memakan ulat beluncas, tetapi ia juga akan
memakan tanaman kebun. Hasil tanaman akan terjejas.

This decision is not justified. The bird will not only eat the caterpillars but also the crops in the farm. The yield of the crops will be

affected.
