5. A group of students carried out an experiment to observe the factors that affect the growth
of microorganisms. They used slices of mango and put them into five different plastic bags.

(a) What is the aim of the experiment?
Menyiasat hubungan antara faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan
mikroorganisma dengan keadaan potongan buah mangga di dalam beg plastik pada
akhir eksperimen.
(b) What observation can be made from this experiment?
Potongan mangga di dalam beg plastik B dan D kekal segar berbanding dengan
beg-beg plastik yang lain.
(c) Why did the condition of the sliced mangoes in plastic bags A, C and E change?
Potongan mangga di dalam beg-beg plastik tersebut berubah kerana dipengaruhi
oleh faktor-faktor yang boleh menggalakkan pertumbuhan mikroorganisma iaitu
udara, nutrien, air dan keasidan yang sesuai.
