verbs in brackets.

VERBS
Stative verbs verbs of emotion: e.g. hope, need, want
verbs that express a state – usually verbs of senses: e.g. feel, hear, see
related to thoughts, emotions, verbs which express a state of mind:
relationships, senses, states of being e.g. believe, remember, imagine
and measurements. They are used in verbs of possession:
the simple present tense e.g. belong to, have,
other verbs: e.g. be, cost, contain
Auxiliary verbs – are helping verbs Verbs ‘to be’ : am/is, was, was – were
