              	     Orangutans	live	in	the	rainforests	of	Borneo	and	Sumatra.	They	are	solitary	animals	and


              spend	most	of	their	lives	in	trees.	They	can	be	found	in	lowland	swamps	and	mountainous

              regions.	They	each	have	a	large	body,	powerful	long	arms	and	a	thick	neck.	Their	bodies

              are	covered	with	reddish-brown	hair.	Female	orangutans	are	about	127	cm	in	height	and

              weigh	45	kg	while	males	grow	up	to	about	175	cm	tall	and	weigh	about	118	kg.	Orangutans

              are	occupied	with	feeding,	travelling	and	resting.	Their	day	begins	early	in	the	morning.


              They	feed	for	two	to	three	hours.	They	travel	by	day	and	rest	at	noon.	Then,	they	build

              their	nests	to	sleep	in	the	evening.	Orangutans	can	live	between	30	and	40	years	in	the
