H ADVERBS 副词

An adverb is a word that can be added to a verb, an adjective or another adverb to modify its
meaning. Usually, an adverb tells us when, where, how, in what manner or to what extent
an action is performed.

An adverb of manner tells us how an action occurs. It answers the question ‘How’.

An adverb of time tells us when an action occurs. It answers the question ‘When’.
时间副词说明一个动作发生的时间。它回答“When 几时”的问题。

An adverb of place tells us where an action occurs. It answers the question ‘Where’.
地点副词说明一个动作发生的地点。它回答“Where 哪里”的问题。

An adverb of frequency tells us how often something occurs.
频率副词说明一个动作发生的频率。

An adverb of degree tells us to what degree an action occurs.
程度副词说明一个动作发生的程度。
