                (a)  Chandran,	who	lives	in	Mas	Condominium,	wants	to	go	to	Peter’s	house.	Number	the
                    following	directions	from	Mas	Condominium	to	Peter’s	house	correctly.	The	f rst	one
                    has	been	done	for	you.

                      Walk	along	Jalan	Setia.                                                      3

                      From	Mas	Condominium,	turn	left	and	walk	along	Jalan	Mas.                    1

                      At	the	next	junction,	turn	right	into	Jalan	Aman.	Peter’s	house	is	the	      4
                      third	one	on	the	left.

                      For this question, you need to read the map carefully. Here are some tips:
                       1.  Mark your starting point and f nal destination with X (as shown in the map).
                       2.  Use a pencil to trace your journey.
                       3.  Read the directions given and number from 2 – 4.



              Write your answer in the space provided.

                (b)  Mrs.	Ramesh	wants	to	buy	some	groceries	at	Building	X	which	is	located	near	a	traff c
                    light.

                    Name	the	building.      For question (b), underline the keyword. In this case, the keyword is
                                            groceries (meaning food and goods sold at a supermarket). Look for
                    Supermarket             the building near the traff c light to help you.




                (c)  Suggest	two	activities	that	children	can	do	at	Bukit	Mas	Recreational	Park.
                    (i)  Watch birds and butterf ies           For  question  (c),  look  at  the  map  for  clues.
                                                               Sometimes, you may get pictures and symbols
                    (ii)  Play at the playground               to help you. If there aren’t any pictures, think –
                                                               what can you do at a recreational park? (Use
                                                               your own general knowledge or experience).



                (d)  Mrs.	Chang	is	driving.	She	comes	to	the	traff c	lights.	Which	traff c	rule	must	she	obey?

                 HOTS  She should wait for the traff c light to turn green before continuing her journey. / She
                    must stop at the traff c light when it is red.


                      You have to think carefully to answer this question. Remember the colours of the
                      traff c light and what each colour stands for. Use this knowledge to help you answer
                      the question.
                      Tips: Red light – Stop / Yellow light – get ready to stop / Green light – go
