ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

English is a key to success in a career and daily life.

English as a Second Language courses at Richland
College help students improve their English reading,
writing, grammar, listening and speaking abilities. ESL
courses range from two to fourteen weeks in length

and have flexible schedules for busy adults, including
fast-track and special skills courses.

lANGUAGE *Students who enroll in the beginner level ESL course (Essential Skills Beginning A) do not need to take a placement test. More

advanced students who want to test out of the beginner level ESL course may do so by taking a 30-minute placement test at
Richland College, offered every Tuesday at 2 p.m. and every Thursday at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

*Estudiantes que se inscriben en el curso ESL de nivel principiante (Essential Skills Beginning A) no es necesario que realicen una prueba de nivel. Los estudiantes avanzados
