Keith W. Young
Mr. Young is chairman of the DROP Advisory Council. Mr. Young has more than 28 years’
of marketing experience in the financial services industry. He has served as vice president of
marketing of General American, MetLife, and Life Insurance Company of the Southwest. He
is a principal of National Retirement Benefits and National Retirement Group, a firm that
focuses on retirement planning and life insurance planning. Many independent agents and
advisors who work with the firm specialize in the 403(b), 457(b), 401(k), Deferred Retirement
Option Plan, and life insurance markets. They primarily work with government employees,
educators and small business owners.

Mr. Young also provides insurance agents, agencies, insurance companies and broker dealers
with marketing consulting and support through his company Secure Wisdom.

Mr. Young is an industry speaker and author. He has served as managing editor for 403(b)
Advisor, an industry magazine that educates advisors about retirement plans for teachers and
government workers. During the last several years, he has trained more than 1,000 advisors
and agents on how to tap into the 403(b) and 457(b) markets. He was the first ex-officio
member to serve on MDRT’s Marketing and Public Relations Committees. His MDRT
mentors and friends include Jack B. Turner, Richard Sullenger, Stephen Rothschild, John
McSwaney, Mike Nicholson, and Brian Heckert.
