STUDENT SUPPORT

        Counseling
        Pat Colin, Department Chair
        The Counseling Department supports
        students with their four-year journey
        through PVPHS. Counselors and staff
        work side-by-side with teachers, staff,
        and administrators helping students
        with their academic, social, and
        emotional progress.

        While students have a number
        of different teachers throughout
high school, they remain with their
counselors all four years. The continuity
and stability of this relationship allows
counselors to get to know their
students in order to individualize an
        instructional approach. In the spring,
        counselors meet individually with
all students to schedule courses for
the next year. Counselors meet with
        individual students throughout the year
when initiated by the student, parent,
teacher, or administrator. planning. Counselors also work closely on Teacher Credentialing. In addition,
