It's not always obvious from the outside, but there are lots of working parts that
join forces each day to make up Bristol Tennessee City Schools. Each employee plays
a unique role in ensuring our students are successful. In addition to teachers and
administrators, there are many others serving students and families.
Every day students' lives are impacted by one or more of our exceptional educational
assistants, who provide critical support to teachers. The Connection staff works closely
with schools to identify and meet basic needs of food, clothing, and other resources
necessary to help best prepare students to learn. Bus drivers begin and end the days
for many students by logging thousands of miles on their trips to and from school.
Teams of school nutrition personnel along with school nurses keep students healthy
and fed throughout the school day. The Bristol Tennessee Police Department provides
resources, such as officers and crossing guards, to ensure our students have a safe
learning environment. Technology, maintenance, and custodial employees keep our
buildings and equipment clean and well-maintained to make students’ educational
experiences appear seamless.
From administrative assistants to bookkeepers, the list goes on and on. And, let’s face
it…everyone knows who really runs a school…the school secretary.
