How are waste
In most urban areas, domestic wastes are materials disposed?
managed in a planned manner by the Local
Municipal Authorities.
Waste materials are collected and sent
to a waste treatment centre. At the waste treatment centre, waste
materials are separated by types of
recyclable and non-recyclable wastes.
Wastes that can be recycled are compacted and sent to a processing
plant to be made into new materials.
