The success of this year’s Western Amateur is due to tireless efforts among Exmoor members and staff,
City of Highland Park officials, and the Western Golf Association. We have worked to realize two common
goals — to advance the work of the Evans Scholars Foundation and stage a world-class golf championship.

The Board of Governors of Exmoor expresses its appreciation to the staff of the Western Golf Association,
whose tournament experience and professionalism guided our efforts.

We are grateful to club General Manager Alan Slatin, Assistant General Manager Randy Bauwens, and
the entire staff for their year-long planning and implementation of so many aspects of the tournament.
Led by Tournament Chairmen Dwight Ekenberg and Tom Kearney, the Steering Committee and more than
200 Exmoor members have devoted significant time and energy in a variety of volunteer roles. The 2022
Western Amateur would not have been possible without their spirit and dedication.

The generosity of our sponsors and donors will directly benefit deserving caddies with a desire to go
to college and succeed in life.

When the tournament concludes, we are confident this year’s Western Amateur will have written
another memorable chapter in the history of amateur golf in America.
