Record number of students awarded full college scholarships
This past winter, a record 315 students
from across the country were awarded
the Evans Scholarship, a prestigious
full housing and tuition college grant
offered to golf caddies.
Each caddie has a unique story that
reflects the scholarship’s four selection
criteria: a strong caddie record,
excellent academics, demonstrated
financial need and outstanding
character. Recipients were interviewed
at one of more than 20 selection
meetings across the country, from
November through March.
They will begin college as Evans
Scholars this Fall, attending one of 22
leading universities across the nation.
There are 1,070 Evans Scholars in school.
