Amateur has tested the legends of the

three past Western Amateur champions Ryan Moore Justin Leonard

have won major championships.

Since the Western Amateur adopted
the format featuring 16 match play
qualifiers in 1956, 32 players advancing
to the Sweet Sixteen have won 79
