The Aqua HD filter fibers contain a mineral called boehmite. This mineral has

a positive electric charge, while contaminants have a negative electric charge. The

mineral acts like a magnet: It attracts the contaminants and traps them on the filter
surface (it adsorbs them), so they can’t escape.
