               The International Businesss programme consists of four study programmes. You choose directly
               from the beginning one of the study programmes.

               International Business | International Business & Languages
               This is a abroad English-taught study programme focused on European languages and international
               marketing and communication. They trains students to become professionals who are well equipped
               to do business in several foreign languages, with business partners from different cultural
               backgrounds. As a graduate of the International Business & Languages programme you will act as
               the link between a company and the international business environment; mapping the interests of a
               company or organisation, setting goals and translating these into plans. Your expertise in business
               and marketing is given greater reach through your proficiency in at least three languages. Your role
               is particularly in the areas of purchasing, sales, account management and export management.
               International Business & Languages graduates are much sought after as skilled communicators who
               can play a key role in the entire business communication. They operate in different countries and
               cultures. Ethical and responsible business is a key concept. Graduates have a thorough
               understanding of cultural foundations, quickly feel at home in other cultures and understand the
               (inter)cultural context in which international business is being done.

               International Business | International Business & Management Studies
               Have you ever wondered how Ikea manages to perform so proftably in over 40 countries? Or why
               Starbucks is so popular? Do you want to know the differences in regional markets? For example, why
               McDonald’s offers the McKroket in The Netherlands, Curaçao and Belgium yet nowhere else in the
               world? If you’re interested in business, and especially the inner workings of companies that operate
               internationally, International Business & Management is the programme for you. By studying
               aspects of marketing, operations, finance, economics and (project)management, you will learn how
               to map the interests of a company or organisation and translate them into goals and plans. Study
               French, Spanish, German, Russian or Dutch for non-Dutch (next to English) and become equipped to
               do business with business partners from different cultural backgrounds. Travel to Los Angeles for an
               international project, work for a company in London during your (work)placement, study abroad at
               one of our partner universities in France or write your thesis for a company in China. In short, at
               International Business & Management you will be trained in an international study environment that
               prepares you for management positions at companies anywhere in the world.

               International Business | International Business for Asia
               International Business for Asia, part of the International Business programme, will trains future
               managers who are well versed in all aspects of international business, with a special focus on Asia.
               Doing Business with Asia in the international market is an interesting but tough challenge. Many
               countries in Asia are becoming increasingly important trading partners. Therefore specialists are
               needed who are well equipped to take on this challenge. You will learn about the enormous diversity
               of other cultures and learn to deal with social and cultural differences in order to enter into trade
               relations with business partners worldwide. Besides English you also want to learn Mandarin,
               Japanese of Indonesian. Besides concepts such as business strategy, marketing, economics, cross-
               cultural management and marketing trends, you will receive training in selling techniques and
               negotiation skills. An International Business for Asia graduate is flexible and ready to travel
