Listening script
Unit 1
Kabaddi is the national game of Nepal. It is a team game with seven players
in each team. Raiding and tackling are the two main skills in it and the
scores are given on the basis of these two skills. It is played in a rectangular
court. Though it is our national game we don’t have a decent record in
internationals. India does it pretty well in Kabaddi and the game is very
popular there.
Unit 2
Dipika : Hello, Dipson. What’s up? Why are you dragging your leg?
Dipson : You know, I have a cut on my left leg.
Dipika : Oh, is it? How?
Dipson : I stepped onto a knife at home.
Dipika : That’s funny! Are you taking the medicine?
Dipson : Yes, I am. The doctor says it will be alright in a few days.
Dipika : All the best!
Dipson : Thank you!
Unit 3
There are about 300 people in the village. Most of them are farmers. A
few are engaged in trade and government hob. Paddy is the main crop,
they grow. Vegetables and orange are their cash crops. Many of them keep
cattle. Cattle give them milk and manure. Some villagers sell the milk in the
nearby town.
Unit 4
At 8.30, she had milk and corn flakes.
At 9.05, she felt difficulty in breathing.
At 9.15, she was rushed to hospital.
At 9.45, she vomited blood.
At 10.35, the son came.
At 12.10, she died. The son was lucky to see her just before she died.
