5.1. Read the following sentences and note the words in red.

a. Shruti is an intelligent girl, isn’t she?

b. Aman is not interested in basketball, is he?

c. We finished our work in time, didn’t we?

e. They are doctors, aren’t they?

f. You can take part in it, can’t you?
g. They are coming back to Nepal, aren’t they?

The words in red make a short question at the end of the sentence.

These types of questions are called tag questions.

A tag questions is added at the end of a sentence to make a
confirmation.

5.2. Underline the tag question in the following sentences.

c. Krimina played strongly against her opponent, didn’t

she?
