Glossary
alliance - a union or association formed for mutual benefit,
especially between countries or organizations
assembly - a group of people gathered together in one place
for a common purpose
farsighted - showing a prudent awareness of future
possibilities
forager - one who collect hey for cattle
imperialism - a policy of extending a country’s power and
influence through colonization
interest - money paid regularly at a particular rate for the
use of money lent
prestige - widespread respect and admiration
reformations - changes in (something, especially an institution or
practice) in order to improve it
summit - the highest point of a hill or mountain
throne - used to signify sovereign power
urged - recommend (something) strongly
