Right to equality
Our constitution has given us the right to
equality. According to this right, all the people
of the country are equal. Nobody is greater or
smaller on the basis of caste, creed, religion
and sex. However, special laws have been
made for the protection and development
of women, children, the aged and those who
are socially and economically backward. Some other points under this
right are:
- all citizens have equal status.
- all citizens are treated equally as per the law.
- all citizens should have equal opportunity for work.
- all citizens should have equal salary and benefits for the same work.
- all citizens should have equal access to religious and other
public places.

The constitution has also granted this right to
