1. Read the following story aloud in the class.
A thirsty crow
It was a hot summer day. A crow was very thirsty. He flew here and there in search
of water. He could not find any water. He sat on a branch of a tree. He saw a
pitcher on the ground. There was little water in the pitcher. He was very happy to
see the water in the pitcher.
He tried to drink the water but the level of water was low. His beak could not
reach the water in the pitcher. He thought of a plan. He dropped some pebbles into
the pitcher, one by one. The level of water rose up. The crow drank the water, and
feeling satisfied; flew away.
Moral: Where there is a will, there is a way.
