Phrasal Prepositions
The shop at the corner of the
street sells sandwiches.
Isha with her mum went on
walking on the pavement.
Don’t use the broom behind you

Unlike just prepositions, a prepositional phrase begins with a preposition
and ends with a noun, pronoun, gerund or clause.
Compare the following:
Prepositions are those words that show the relation between a noun or
a pronoun and some other words in a sentence.
The book is placed on the desk.
A policeman went into a deal to trace all the most wanted criminals.
Phrasal prepositions are a group of words with the force of a single
preposition.
Don’t be ignorant of what you know very well.
She is very bad at making plans.
Prepositional phrases are a group of words that begins with a
preposition and is usually followed by a noun or a pronoun.
The resort is beside the mountain.
