To the teacher:
• First divide the whole class into six groups.
• Ask each group to select one participant for the debate.
• Allow three participants to speak in favour of blessing and three in favour of
curse. Determine it with lotto.
• Give one day for the participants to prepare.
• Invite an English teacher from the school to judge the performance.
• Invite the principal / vice principal to declare the winner and reward.
• Make more rules as per the requirement.
8.2. Read and enjoy
Once a pet cat chased a mouse across
the floor of the kitchen. The mouse was
successful to escape the chase and enter
into his hole in the other corner of the
room.
Safe in his hole, the mouse with a long
breath said, “I didn’t know they had a new
cat. Boy, he is fast and furious!”
While he was thinking about how he got
away from the new cat, the mouse felt
very proud of himself. “I’m really a clever
fellow, if I have to say so myself,” he said. “No cat is as clever as I
am!”
Soon after he heard, “Arf! Arf and the scream of the cat out in the
kitchen. The mouse was happy that the cat must be in trouble. “Oh,
boy! Oh boy!” he exclaimed. “The dog is after the cat! I have to go
and see that stupid cat run!”
The mouse scampered out of his hole into the room and looked,
