3.4. Read the following sentences and check how in order to and so

meanings.
b. I went to the market in order to by some cosmetics.
c. The medical team was discharged to Kalikot in

d. I go to bed early so that I can get up in time.
e. I’m taking an extra class on grammar so that I will improve my
language.
f. The boys are collecting some donation in order to
help the flood victims.
So that and in order to, both are used to connect an action
with its purpose.
We use in order to with an infinitive (V1) and so that with a
complete sentence usually with a modal verb.
