5 Grammar Time

5.1. Read the following sentences and try to answer.

a. Why does the oil float on water?

b. Where did you have your breakfast yesterday?

c. When was Laxmi Prasad Devekota born?

d. What makes you feel sad at home?

e. How could the bear escape the hunter?

f. Who killed Ravan in the epic of The Ramayana?

The above sentences are interrogative sentences. They start with

a ‘wh’ word. They are called ‘wh-questions’.
