Read the story of the strange blue ball and see how prepositions have been
used to indicate its locations and direction.
Look at the strange blue ball. I placed it in the box but when I had a second look it was on the box.
Somebody put it at the table and soon it rolled and stood near the box. You can’t believe how it
went under the same box first and over it soon after. I picked it and placed it below the box but
believe it or not it sprang up and went above it. I thought of controlling its involuntary motion and
placed black balls round it. No one saw how it passed through the box and stood itself among
so many black balls. In a moment I saw it standing between two black balls. It wouldn’t stay here
either. In no time I saw it hiding behind the box. As I was able to seek it, it came right in front
of the box and started rolling along the path. I followed it but it changed its direction and rolled
across the path. I couldn’t believe my eyes as I saw it going up the steps first and rolling down
the steps next. I had to find another blue ball as the watch dog for it and placed both of them
opposite each other. The obstinate ball wasn’t going to be controlled by any power on earth. It
jumped and landed onto the box first and rolled off to land into the box. Before I could put a lid
on the box , it jumped out of it and rolled past the black ball and came beside the box again. I
wanted to make it stay in one place. So I got it stand against a brick. In no time it jumped over the
brick and started rolling from one black ball to the other. I was tired of it and left it while it was still
               rolling towards the black ball.
