Read the play, act it out in the class and do the activities

(Hilari is playing in her backyard and her mom is in the garden.

Two bad guys suddenly appear and try to snatch Hilary’s mother.)

Hilary Helps Her Mom

Mom : Hilary! Can’t you be more of a help?
Hilary : I was trying! (Hilary went to her room, slammed the

door and played with her toys.)

Mom : Help! Hilary! Help!
Hilary : (yelling) I am coming. (Hilary sees two bad guys

carrying her mom away. Hilary ran after them down

the street.)
