3.1. Practice the following conversations with your friend.

B : Yes please! May I help you?
A : Can you tell me where I can
find a Chinese restaurant?
B : Just fifty metres ahead.
A : Should I go along or cross the road?
B : No, You need not cross. Go along the road for about
three minutes and there you are.
A : Thanks for the cooperation!
B : Mention not!

Danny : Excuse me, may I
help you, ma’am?
Mrs. Pathak : Oh, yes! Where is
the medical ward?
Danny : It’s on the third floor, ma’am.
Mrs. Pathak : Can I go on the lift or should I climb the
stairs?
Danny : You need not climb. There’s the lift.
Mrs. Pathak : Thank you very much for the cooperation!
Danny : My pleasure, ma’am!
