E. Identify and circle relative pronouns in the following sentences.
1. What is the dish you like the most?
2. Tell me what you understood from the workshop?
3. Anshu is the boy whose sister is a nurse.
4. Did you tell them where she works?
5. We know the student who has brought the gadget.
6. She has a pet which is very disciplined.
7. This is the time when we should go home.
NOTES
We use ‘who/that’ for people.
The boy who/that stole bicycle has been caught.
We use ‘which/that’ for animals and objects.
The dog that has lots of hair is mine.
When a relative pronoun reflects the object of the sentence, it may
be left out.
The laptop [that] I bought is in good condition.
We also use ‘that’ after adjectives in the superlative degree.
She is the most talented singer that I have ever seen.
We use ‘that’ after words like all, some, any, none, nothing, etc.
Don’t do anything like that.
