spork : an eating utensil that is shaped like both a spoon and
fork, often has a rounded spoon shape with short
prongs at the end like a fork
smog : air pollutant often found in large cities

internet : the global communication network that allows
computers around the world to connect and share
information

motel : a building with accommodations, meals, and other
services for travelers, often (or originally) found
along motorways or highways as opposed to in towns

The words above are blended words. If two different words with different meanings are
joined together with/without the omission of spellings in order to form a new word, it
is called Word Blending. Generally word blending is done to meet the need of a new
word in the changed context and pattern of language. If the blended word is segmented
into its original words, it is called Word Segmentation.

4.2. Take help from the teacher/dictionary and segment the words

in 4.1 into the original words.

Eg. Cyborg = cybernetic + organism smog = smoke + fog
